Stonecleaver dwarves trace their lineage back to Balin in the First Age. While their craft is not as wonderous as that of the Balinshold dwarves, they are the undisputed champions of stonecarving in the Reaches. These dwarves are highly sought by nobility from around the Reaches to carve their palaces and statues. Their work is signed with a crossed stonemasons mallet and chisel. It is said that this clan has ties to the fabled Deep Gnomes, but no proof has ever been presented. The Clan controls two strongholds south of the River White and a number of secreted quarries. | Stonecleaver dwarves trace their lineage back to Balin in the First Age.
