The Broken Head Warband gains its name not from its ability to smash the skulls of its enemies, but from the injuries suffered from its founding fathers who first tamed the wild boars of Bramblewood and the dire wolves of Loftwood and used them as mounts in combat. With their tribe scattered over the vast expanse of the Barrens, mounted travel was a neccessity to fight the humans, dwarves and elves that oftentimes invaded the land. The light wolf riders provided quick and agile maneuverability while the ferocous boar riders were a good match for even the most experienced human cavalry. Today, the Broken Head warband is one of the largest orc tribes and provides most of the cavalry for Gruumsch's vast army. Huurk Headsmasher leads the tribe as its current warboss. | The Broken Head Warband gains its name not from its ability to smash the skulls of its enemies, but from the injuries suffered from its founding fathers who first tamed the wild boars of Bramblewood and the dire wolves of Loftwood and used them as mounts in combat.
