The Brethern of the Coast (1640-1670) |
A Legends of the High Sea Campaign |
By 1640, the buccaneers of Tortuga are calling themselves the Brethren of the Coast. The pirate population is mostly made up of French and Englishmen, along with a small number of Dutchmen. From the wild capital of Cayona, they sack ships laden with slaves coming into the Caribbean from Africa or those departing to Europe with sugar and cocoa. It is the Golden Age of Piracy. |
